It is 26th January 2008 i spent half of my day watching the "lead india contest",which looks like
flip side of the todays politicians. today one can only dream to have politicians like these.
apart from my friend's push, this was the second thing that lured me into writing this blog(1st ever).
religion + politics = disaster
This recipe might be short but believe me its not that sweet!!! but this is what works today.
we have seen it over the ages but we don't seem to get it do we... why does every party in india has to carry a tag of some religion with it. BJP,shivsena,bajrang dal,muslims league,vhp and the list goes on, the most basic question lies in their very existence and that is.... are they living it all for such a small thing?
as the saying goes.....
“Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it, you'd have good people
doing good things and evil people doing bad things, but for good people to do bad things,
it takes religion.”
from the age of chanakya and way beyond, politics have been there in both the good and
dirty forms. overlooking the good side of the politics, everybody is drenched in dirt except from
those few who generously want the country "India" to move ahead but are helpless against
the might of others. i am afraid that i cannot back out from taking the names of the lame
politicians like Bal Thackeray, Advani, mayawati to highlight the few ... very sorry if i was biased in not naming the few other gems of our country.
the saying goes like this
In order to become the master, the politician poses as the servant. ~Charles de Gaulle
and they will sure do anything to get into power ... ever murder someone which i m sure would be there on everyones resume...
why is it that the youth today is hesitant to get into the marshy waters of politics ...
why is it that our perception towards politics is so myopic...
ask me and i belive that politics is the center stage and there are lot of factors around it that
make it good or bad. one of these factors is religion, soft target for these morons. i do not understand what do these parties and their followers think, are they doing any favor to
the gods, with the deeds they do i m sure not.
in todays India i see the politics of survival and the political parties
have chosen the religion to be their life jacket. hanging on but in the process they
just forget the amount of damage they are actually causing. some of this damage could
be seen in the cases like ghodra kaand and numerous other but the other which is rather the
more lethal one is the growing hateret among the various religions. the parties like bajrang dal shiv sena, muslims league and numerous others are just treating
religions as host and they suck into it till they are benefited and in the process
killing the society.
why do parties like bjp have to thrive on hindutva, these all stunts are to create vote banks
and ultimately misguiding the common man. the whole political drama is to suit their needs.
i believe that the Politicians are like diapers. They both need changing regularly and for the same reason.
i m afraid we have just enough religion to make us hate, but not enough to make us love one another.
it is upto the common man to understand the whole drama and figure out how long we let them
make fools of us and throw these scum bags from power. but the question still remains for me , for you , for everyone of us.... who would get hi/her hands dirty in cleaning the house, the house we know by the name india ... our mother india.
in the end i would like to conclude by the most powerful four words said by mahatma gandhi
“God has no religion”

I was in same misconception few days back wen i thought religion +politics is Destructive and it Can and Will ruin our nation but my perception Dramatically changed when i saw on tv that Narendra modi(who has been termed as Mass Murderer by top media journalists) has won gujrat election with Clear majority.How can people of Gujrat elect him when they know he has deleberately used religion for political mileage. Everyone of us know even US knows that thats why he was denied Visa to US, still he Won Why?
After he won i was surprised and shocked and i was sharing it with friend of mine who is from media industry his views were equally disturbing
he says whatever modi did was correct, Muslims of the state deserved that and i Read so much of anger and fierce in his eyes about muslims may be because of his experiences. Now he is a voter, a well educated man i should say when he believes what modi did was correct what about those guys who are uneducated.
then i heard views of another lady she has done mba from amity and is from UP she even declared modi as her Idol.
What kind of religion + politics are we talking about Rv? when only very few minority beleives that it is going to harm our country while most of us actually feel proud in this and it is always about majority in democracy. Try talking to any of your friends from UP Bihar Gujrat U will find diametrically different opinion from Us.
Lets live in real world we can not seperate religion and politics we can just hope that every one in our country should be able to realise and understand that religion is nothing but a state of mind we should not use it in the name of Killing and Destruction. It will take Centuries but we can just hope.

i really appreciates your point of view puneet, but i m afraid that you have chosen very
narrow prospective driven by words of very few people with opinion of their own due to god knows
what reason.
to begin with, when you talk about narendra modi you are talking specific. no doubt he took
the shelter of banner called hindutva and to add to this i would like to tell you the reason he
won the elections, it was due to the huge support from the majority community but does this gives
him the right or any man on this earth to play with the lifes or even sentiments of the
minority community and
on top of this people like journalist who were believed to be neutral are actually justifying
it.this is nothing but true disgrace.
as far as narendra modi is concern if you have followed the polls closely you would notice
that he has lost position in the rural areas...neglecting them???
the reason he won was just that he had the banner of the majority and he did help the traders community
(i do not deny this fact).
coming to the lady who has done "mba" from amity talk all good about modi....does this mean
that the person who has mba tag on him/her is mr.know it all??? i m sorry but i think this
country breeds more educated fools than intelligent illiterates.
and as far as her opinion is concern.... i have talked much about modi.what is mayawati doing
in the state of UP where amity is located i would like to know her view on this pious lady.

the question is not about minority or majority rather it is about being right or wrong
if minority is right i would not mind following them rather than going with the flow.
and when it comes to talking to any person from up bihar.... i m sure their opinon would
not differ to those of mine .even if it does......
one must know whats right and wrong ... if you believe on something you must go for it
with all your heart and soul, rather than being influenced by other's opinion... just because
they are in majority.
you also talk about living in real world and religion being state of mind...but dont you
think these few men are dominating our country on the basis of this state of mind and
we are the one who make this country..we are the part of it.. lets not accept things

I just wanted to convey you that people like us who think "religion+politics is bad" are in minority look at the population of India 65% literate 25 % semiliterate 10 % literate and that too u have declared most of the educated are stupids..and people like you and I dont Vote
So target customer of politician are different people and its for them they devise strategies we are no where in picture they are least bothered about us.
and let me tell you frankly i and you havent lived in the word where we have seen religion clashes by our eyes and felt that glitch on us and our family thats why we are the people who have seen the rosy picture ask those people who have felt this they will never beleive your words and they matter not us. the gap between religion is very wide it will be difficult to fill.
To sit in our home and give theories this should be done that should be done is very idealistic ...as i can write the best blog on the subject that quota should be abolished no quota in iims but did i went to that protest and strike ? no then everything is fake i ask you did you go? when medical students were facing fire?
Reality is i also want an ideal nation where there should be no religion+politics and all the good things which one could imagine.but untill and unless target audience is educated and is in majority and will start not accepting what politician has to offer till then enjoy.
wait till we have a literate nation so many things come before this issue..."Hunger" is one of them.
